Nominations are wanted.
« on: September 10, 2014, 03:29:03 PM »
I think there are a few younger guys than 70 years old who might want to step up to NCS officer positions. This is your chance so lets hear it.
Thanks
Wayne

Would somebody notify Ted Kraver that my e-mail to him is being refused? I have tried 3 times to list my suggestions on NCS officers only to have my e-mail returned as "refused"

Mike, I have tried 3 times to "reply" to Ted's asking for my choices for NCS officers.  Each time it has bounced back 24 hours later as having been "refused."

I presume that if Joe 'Reply's  to an email from Ted, it would go to the correct address.  I have sent Ted a message with the text from Joe's message in it.  I've never had an email to Ted bounce.

WoW!  Three inches of rain,  my internet provider goes down for a day and I become a Stunt Hanger celebrity.
I am glad that my recent feeble attempts at carrier flying recently have gone unnoticed. At KOTRC meeting it was four flights and 3 clouds of black dust.

Thanks Joe, I have now received two of your emails along with others from NCS members.

I might mention that it would be a good idea if responders first contacted their submissions before they are nominated.

Cheers

Ted the eD

Ted, I do have your correct address, when I offered my thanks this morning guess what?  REFUSED AGAIN!  I tried again using your correct address and it was refused again! I will attempt once more later today. Keep up the god work!

AS I MENTIONED, I AM TRYING TO REPLEY TO HIS EMAIL TO ME. I HAVE THE CORRECT ADDRESS!!  Even using new new emails from here they are bouncing AGAIN!  The reason?  my address "was found in a DNS blacklist database and was therefore refused"

I sometimes get bounced emails at work because some "spam cop machine" at the receiver's host thinks that my host's IP address is a notorious spam site - or that I must be a spammer because I have multiple web links in the email conversation that I'm replying to.

If you have a different email address, try that. Or even make a new gmail or hotmail (or whatever it is called now) account.
I built a Blue Pants as a kid. Wish I still had it. Might even learn to fly it.

Joe,

The reason I asked was that I have seen several email addresses for Ted and sometimes different ones used when doing NCS business? I know he has many irons in the fire and uses the internet a lot for very different reasons other than the NCS. You mentioned a "DNS Block List Database" that you use. Could you let the rest of us know how we can use this Data Base on the Web as I have had or thought I was having the same problem as you?  Eric

Eric, all I can tell you is that I have checked each incoming email from Ted, checked the address and it is the only one I have. Each time I try to either reply or send a new email it bounces back with the comment that the DNS (of which I have no idea what that is) says I am on a "blacklist) of some sort. Certainly in my dotage I believe that I am doing all I can, but to no avail.  Otherwise I receive up to 60 LIGITIMATE emails daily and don't have that problem. I HAVE NO IDEA OF HOW THE DNS is or how it works.

Also, I am not mad, just stupefied.

Joe,
Try this
0. Run a complete virus check
1. Open a account on yahoo, google, hotmail or such
2. Try your emails again
Yahoo in particular has good anti virus sw.

The problem might be with your service provider not recognizing Ted's service properly. I don't think there is a real DNS black list, but there are DNS virus's which affect DNS address schemes.

PS go here to see what DNS means http://www.howstuffworks.com/dns.htm
