Today marked a successful flight of a restored Sterling Hellcat that is set up for Carrier It now has a 2.4 throttle system that works awesome.
My question is with an FP .35 does this plane qualify for Sport .40 event that currently being flown in Oregon . I would like to fly carrier at the
contest in Portland next month. I cannot find what the square inches are for the Hellcat , I understand that the limit is 400 sq inches for

Walter, only 2 engines allowed in NW .40 Profile. They are the FP .40 or the FP.35. Hope to see you in Portland. I too (between officiating) will fly a 2.4 profile.

Contest provided 10% fuel (we are now voting on changing that rule) Scoring as per AMA rules, no scale points, but plane must show some sort of insignia (Amerian, Japanese  or whatever)  No sliders or movable leadouts.

They are admirably quick, but not at all dirty.  They're in plain language, short, and to the point -- so you have no excuses not to read 'em!

Not really like Sportsman at The Brodak.  They allow sliders and require 36's without pressure.

At Brodak we allow sliders and muffler pressure in sportsman. The NCS has always allowed sliders in Sportsman, but muffler  or any other kind of pressure is not allowed in AMA profile.
