High speed timing
«

Was looking through older posts this morning and saw a post that said "70 MPH is about 25.7 sec for 8 laps". When you guys talk about high speed times are you always timing from a standing start as per the rule book?

For carrier specifically, yes. 8 laps would be on 52' lines for 15 carrier only.

15 profile class is a speed limited class. The limit is 70mph or 25.7 seconds from a standing start for 8 laps. Mike

And on top of all that you start the clock when the plane is released at the forward part of the deck and then move to the back to the stern to stop the clock at the finish of the 8 laps? What were they thinking? Eric
