For times when you just can not find the right plastic part. A smaller version would be great for canopies.

There have been several articles on forming plastic parts out of soft drink bottles.  You cut off the top, or bottom, and stick in a male mold which has a big enough base on it to make it a firm fit in the bottle.  Then you use your heat gun to shrink the plastic around the mold.
