While I cannot see it up close enough to see any flaws, I will take your word for it being awful. It sure looks nice from the pic.

The worst painting attempt I remember was one I read about concerning Jack Sheeks "Bewitched" so named because the paint went so badly for it. Loved the plane though!

Whine, whine, whine. Hey, you have to look at it like this. Is it serviceable? Will it peal half way through the season? If not, then just go fly it.   LL~

Seriously, it doesn't look bad at all. I think you, like me, are a lot more critical about this stuff than others are. I keep promising myself that this next plane, I'm just going to take my time on and get it right. Maybe I even will.

Hi Randy,

Dude, this is one of the very best flying planes I have ever flown!  And that's rigth off the board. y1
The paint isn't going to come off, but you cannot see the pock marks from where the tape lifted paint, and I couldn't get to go away, teh slightly different shade the red came ot on the touch ups, and other glitches that don't show up in the picture.  BUT!  it does look REAL good in the air!  LL~  But you're right, I REALLY wanted this one to be "Front Row", and I ended up just getting it into the air.

Did I say how good it is already flying?? **)

Boy isn't that the truth, don't believe I've ever finished a stunter without painting it at least twice.. Usually sanding the first attempt off which takes forever in itself.. Even after all that I end up with just an average finish.. They are getting better but I still don't really have a handle on making one front row and probably never will... Monokote wings and Rustolium on the fuselage is sounding better every day..

Man, isn't that the truth. Seems the few times when I get a really good finish and the plane actually flies well, I end up dinging the thing twenty time and it's one, big patch job. Sigh...

Ain't it da trute.

Every paint job has flaws, I see every single one in every paint job I've ever done. I've struggled with lifting, bleeding, too much clear, not enough clear and on and on. But mostly I keep it to myself and other people think they look great. That's the way its supposed to be.
