I have bought an old Flite line Sneeker kit but have decided to not use the the wood in the kit and scratch build it. All the wood is cut and ready to build now. I do have a question about this kit. What bellcrank do you use? This kit recommends a 3” metal one and my LHS only had a Perfect 3 3/8” BC number P223. Will this work? The plan also shows 1/8” tubing at the leadouts. Any suggestions on what to use there? I bought the Sullivans braided lead out kit and was thinking of using the yellow tubing for this but not sure it will work. I appreciate any advice, Tim

I'll mail you a 3" fox bellcrank if you want. I don't use them for planes I actually fly. I haven't had one fail, I just like the phenolic or nylon better.

Perfect bellcranks I've seen lately brag about their alloy on the package, so it may be improved. 

.027" is plenty of leadout wire diameter.  A 3 3/16" bellcrank is better than 3" if it fits.

Squished 3/16" brass tube has less friction and more gluing surface than 1/8" tube.  Don't use aluminum tube.

If you fly by current rules you'll need .018" lines, last time I looked.  The Sneeker was probably designed for .015" lines, so you'll want to locate the leadouts 1/2" farther aft than the location on the plans.
