Gentlemen,

Is there some one out there making canopies?

I need the following canopies for .040 cubic inch engine size aircraft (48-56 inch wingspan) for the following models;

1.  de Havilland Chipmunk with a sliding canopy,

2. AT-6 with a sliding canopy,

3. P-47 razor back sliding canopy with pointed front.

The canopy does not have to slide.  Just interested in looking like it should slide.

Bill Sawyer made this canopy from my hardwood mold.  It doesn't slide, but the illusion of a sliding canopy was easily accomplished with just a strip of spruce glued to the outside of the fuselage!
That was too easy!

Contacted Mr. Sawyer and he does not have a similar canopy.

Still looking for a source.

Roger.  The Hurricane is scratch-build and I made my own plans from 3-views and photos.  None of the "kits" or plans were big enough (RO-JETT 61) so I had to do my own.

p.s.  If you look at the Hurricane offered by RSM Distribution, you might think it looks like mine.  IT IS MINE!
I guess Eric liked my picture so he used it.  My Hurricane is in no way connected, or inspired by the RSM kit.
I don't think they are even the same size, and the RSM kit does not have wing dihedral!

try contacting Walter Umland and ask him who does his canopy's or Eric at RSM. Dave Midgley used to make them for Windy, you could ask there also. All they can say is no.
