Rounding the last turn (Pic)

I am in the home stretch now. All framed up and on the gear. First thing is clean the shop and then start detail sanding. Should start the finish this weekend.

I am sanding everything with 400 and finding any bad spots right now. Not much to see. I will probably put 2 coats of clear on today. and sand with 600 then cover. This is the lightest ,straightest airplane of this size I have built to date. Airframe is 20 ounces with fillets no covering. The hinge's were a vast improvement over the flat hinges. Zero gap, No way to tape these because if you did they wouldn't move. I will post a pic when there is something to see.

What you're not flying it yet?????? Just kidding. You have to be the fastest builder I know about. Hey PTG, he's got you beaten! LL~ LL~

Seriously, I like the hinging method you have chosen and am interested to know how it turns out. (No pun intended) We (I) used to do a similar hinge on our racing gliders (RC) for minimum drag. I believe it was called a "Knuckle" hinge.

When I glued mine together I used two layers (Next to the hinge) of masking tape for the gap. Any closed and there was a chance of a bind, not good.
