Ty, If your in town sometime give me a call, maby we can go fly at Celestial Seasons and do some dive bombing and straffing on the prarie dogs. Boulder put them on a protected species list cause as we all know they are getting extinct. Yes, great nutcake watching on the Boulder Mall.
I'm in the phone book in Longmont under GA Bohn. I do work nights as a school custodian, gives me time to fly during the day at a park behind IBM during the week and Sundays. My old flying buddy from Boulder goes down to Denver now and flys with the club. Long drive just to fly a few rounds, but nice to talk to the guys. I think were the only two C/L flyers in the area.
The Boulder hobby shop closed down but Hobby Town USA has almost enough stuff to fly C/L, couple Sig kits, lines etc. but no motors. They are very good about getting stuff on a timley basis. You are right, the balsa is made from hybred balsa/maple trees. I get my stuff from the cottage guys or Thompsons Hobbies on South Wadsworth, He stocks Sig all castor and Champion fuel and Brodak kits. Fox and LA engines. Close to being a good old hobby shop.
I'm slightly into N guage trains but havent been to the museum.
