Pinned Hinges Article
« on: August 14, 2016, 06:36:55 PM »
I've just gone through my copies of Stunt News looking for an article about freeing up and dying pinned hinges prior to installation. If I remember correctly someone was going to archive all the SN articles at one time? Perhaps someone could point me in the right direction for this article. I'd like the controls of my next build to be as free as possible. Thanks  :)

Have you done a search on here?     Basically it means taking the flash off the hinge barrel and using a smaller wire that runs full length of the control surface.  As far as dying, Rit dye works if you let it soak long enough.

All right,  go to Electric section,  then  to Getting All Amp'ed Up,   look for Re: Legacy 40 Electric Build Log by Crist Rigotti.    H^^

Thanks Doc. I'm not interested in the dying part although that was part of the S.N. article as I recall.
