need some refresher courses.

Where can I read on the basics of scratch building a c/l planes. On basic profile planes.
1. Where should the center of gravity be.
2. Where should the leadouts be.
3. how much weight should be on the wing tip.
And so on.

 Get what i'm looking for. video's would be nice.

1: Where the plans say.  If it's a fairly conventional stunt-ish plane, about 15 to 20% of the wing chord back from the LE to start, then move it around until the thing files right.

2: About 1" behind the CG to start, then move around until it flies right.

3: Half the weight of your lines, to start, then change until it flies right.

4: Sparky has a series of videos he's working on, but I can't find a link (Sparky, if you see this, the first place I went to was stunthanger.com, no "/sms" -- no luck, either.)

And, you can always ask about whatever you're specifically working on.  You'll get enough advice that you'll be able to pick and choose which to follow.

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.

you can also use the search function on here to search for things like leadouts, or tip weight, or finishing,, there is a veritable overload of available information here.
you will want to pick the flesh and leave the bone, there is some misguided info mixed in with the good stuff

Robert has a you tube channel ( Stunthanger) that has his videos loaded and they are informative and casual . some good info can be garnered from them in addition to what you find in print.
keep in mind, there are several ways to do things and some are more "right" than others.

also feel free to message members with questions ( even questions about who to listen to and who not to listen to) It matters,,

mostly have fun,,

what is your interest? sport flying, competition? stunt?

also, if your profile showed your where abouts,, no doubt there is someone close to you that can help too, that is a really important thing, so update your profile with your location and lets see who lives close by

Yup.  I tend to figure out who's been winning, and listen to them harder.  Except that neither Mark nor I have won anything in Expert, but we're always both right -- even when we flatly disagree.
