Legacy Wing Set-Up
« on: February 12, 2009, 12:23:06 PM »
I am framing up a Legacy wing.  The (excellent) Brodak instruction book is MIA.  (I think I know where it is but it is not accessable at present).  I just need one number:  What size shim does is specified to put under the 1/4" spar at the wing tip (#14 rib).  My guess is a  3/16 or 1/4 shim at the tip but...I needs to know.  Thanks in advance.  Pete  8)

Pete, I just checked the CAD file, and the distance from the wing chord centerline is .197 less at the tip, so 3/16" is about right.

Thanks John, by my measurements that's what I came up with as well, just wanted to make sure.  Hopefully see you in Tucson next month.  PC   8)

I'm looking forward to it. Good luck on the Legacy.
