Throw your old drafting pens away! I never thought I would say that but I bought a Top Flight panel marking pen. Its the cats meow! No worry about dripping and its easy to line with. Also you don't have to worry about wicking as there is nothing to wick. Give it a try works great! I will post photos when complete.

  I have never used "pens" like you use but have just used the topflight pannel pen the you mentioned. Yes it will wick! Maybe not as bad as the others but it will. I just had it happen while applying pannel lines to my P-47. The good news is that if you make a mistake you can take denatured alcohol and wipe it off. This doesn't harm the dope finish and gives you a fresh start on a BOOBOO!  :o
  Airacobra; Yes you can spray clear Sig lightcoat over the lines without them running. Just keep the first few coats light!

I suppose it's a matter of taste. Like Dee Rice, I didn't care much for the Top Flight pen. I use Pigma Micron pens, but that's just me. I suppose you use what you're comfortable with.

Where can I order a Top Flight Panel Line pen from? Sounds like a good way to start  trying to make panel lines.

I use Staedtler pigment liner Sketch Pens.  They come 4 to a pack.  .1mm  .3mm  .5mm  .7mm  I have 1 set now for three years.  They "erase" with alcohol and I dust the new lines with clear dope with my airbrush to seal the lines.  They only cost me $10.

I've picked up the Top Flite pens a hundred times in the LHS's but never bought or tried one. I will now.
