How long after clear.........
« on: May 01, 2006, 10:43:48 AM »
How long do you have to wait before you start sanding and buffing out clear?  Here in Texas 85 degrees,  about 35-55% humidity.  I'm thinking 5-7 days.

Here is how long exactly. When you put it in your car with the windows closed for a hour in the sun and come back and can't smell it any longer it's ready to sand. (It's done gassing off)

That's a good idea.  How about if I fly it now and sand on it later?   Great forum Robert.

Sort of the opposite of catalyzed polyurethane that you have to sand within a day or two or it gets too hard. Wait a month, but go ahead and fly it

I'm thinking of trying the two-part auto clear next time.  A bit scary the first time.......
