What is the difference between: Sig Clear dope and "Supercoate" Clear? Sam's hobbies site does not give me that information. one is a dollar higher.
Thanks, Terry

I only know Sig Supercoat and Sig Litecoat. Litecoat is the non-taunting stuff. Supercoat is the full shrink, heavy solids version. Great for shrinking paper over open bays. Most dope coats should be with a non-taunting material.

To echo Randy's words, the difference is the tautening (or shrinking) properties plus the amount of solids is the difference. Lite Coat and Supercoat is all I know about Sig clear, except for the Nitrate. I use the Supercoat ONLY for shrinking my silkspan after I have applied it wet. I use three-four thinned coats then I put it away. After than it is all Lite Coat. Of course, I use only nitrate to cover with and fill all the other areas of the plane before I switch to butyrate.

Note that Sig SuperCoat
Color
dope is not the super taughtening type--more like LiteCoat in its shrink properties.
Now is that confusing enough?!
Sig Nitrate also is not a super taughtening dope.
