Had seen the finished product before but not the process.  Thanks for the how-to-do.

saw this great idea looks great.

but lets go back a few pictures. first how did you cut out the stencil, on the wing or off?then did you use dope or some other medium? i tried to cut a stencil on my monocoate coveredwing with masking tape and very very carefully used a xacto knife and still slit through. dang it now i have to patch it. my landing gear hole is the shape of a lolipop but flat. do i use dope or something else?
