battery mounting in Brodak Super Clown?

I have a Brodak electric Super Clown I have been struggling with. Most of the problems have been worked out but I need some ideas on how to mount the battery. The instructions don't address it.

The battery just slides in the wing and is held in place with a piece of Velcro
