I remove the tape as soon as the paint is dry to the touch. Which is REAL quick.  I have painted the base color and three trim colors in one Saturday on a plane.  I also seem to have a LOT less trouble wit hpulling up paint when I use the 2 part auto basecoat/clearcoat paints!

Hi Guys,
Yep Lesson learned, I pull tape 3m,Blue mask, Hobbsco the second I get through painting. B25 Silver does not like tape living on it for a long time or you'll need the heat gun.

Since moving onto electrical tape 33+ or 88, the process of removing any tape has been a little more forgiving.

Hi Mike,

Question.  How long can you leave the electrical tape on painted surfaces?  Which tape do you feel works best?  Now that I have stock in 3m I need to diversify my holdings  :'(

Get the  tape  off  as  soon as  possible, The  glue on  electrical tape  will mar  plastic  canopies  and   dope
