What happened to Schultzie?
« on: February 16, 2009, 08:50:51 PM »
Don didn't show up at Tacoma Narrows Airport on Valentine's Day morning. About everybody else was there. I even got home just in time for dinner. I suspect Don took his sweetie and went to the Oregon Coast for some romancing and kite flying. I hope he withstood the romancing alright...he's got a lot of miles on him, ya know... LL~ Steve

Ya Thank God for cialis and those outdoor bathtubs. I don't think you better follow in his footsteps. As for the kite flying, that is really a bad habit.

Hummm?
I can't believe that yesterday mornings Java jive hit....made no sense what-so-ever...except for the last modified photo that mimics what reaaaaaalllly happened last week end.

As you can see...my beloved wife Carol took some "quality time" together on Valentines Day and has me (usually full of HOT AIR) tethered with my own kite strings...floating in the air on my Valentine's morning suga'time java-jive hit. n~ n~ n~ LL~ H^^

Pete flew the thing and hasn't stopped whining about it. It pulls too hard. My shoulder hurts. I don't like the way it turns. Blah, blah, blah. Gee Pete, why do you think I asked you to fly it? How about some solutions?

 ;D

Truth is, Pete's the one that suggested I move the CG back. A lot. And it is better as a result. But it's still not right and a pain to fly. Sigh...

Hummm? I thought I heard you say...moving the adj. leadout forward didn't seem to help much...as far as pull is concerned.

Jeez, I'll trade you half your line tension for half mine on the Skylark, Randy. Why didn't you think of that?  LL~
I reckon I'll see you Saturday morning...again. The weather guessers are saying cloudy Saturday and rain starts in again Sunday.

Regarding the Skylark, I've got more props to test, and the CG shifted slightly forward. The glide is too floaty and slow to suit me...corner is great, and it doesn't seem to groove in the rounds very well. I'd better go get to work on the 3rd prop and the new handle.  ~> Steve
