Nomination as a Stunt Grunt
« on: April 19, 2007, 05:51:13 PM »
Don,

My idea of a Stunt Grunt is one who gives everything he has to this sport.
To that end.  My nomination for Stunt Grunt Supreme is Mr. Doug Taffinder.
He made fuel for us until it nearly cost him his life.  He has judged many
local, regional and national Contests including the Nats and VSC.
He made fuel tanks for us until his hands gave out from bending metal stock.
He is still a judging icon and one of the best who ever did judge.
Therefore, I believe he deserves the status of Stunt Grunt Supreme.

Thank you,

Jim Pollock   y1

Jim;

   I do not know "Doug Taffinder" personally, but I do know of his products and some of the mishaps along the way. I also know that he has contributed much to this Hobby of ours. It is fitting that you bring his name to this board. Thank-you.

Morn. Jim!
Thanks for taking the time sending me that old photo from the past to me...and for liftin' up Doug Taffinder...as grunt of the day. How deserving and so far I am still trying to find a Photo of Doug to add to your story about one of our most gifted tank-n-tin bender artists.

HEY YOU LURKERS...GOT ANY DOUG TAFFINDER PHOTOS in those old balsa dusted work bench drawers????
