Found some photos...
« on: October 09, 2011, 07:34:37 AM »
I've been browsing Claudia Kehnen's 1950 -1990 gallery and a long thread on the Italian Barone Rosso forum.

There were lots American pictures there too but you've probably seen them all already. So here's some other nations' Stunters that caught my eye.

... this probably takes a few posts, as I didn't download the smallest files ...

1) Gerard Billon (Fra) 1978 (Olympus, I think)
2) Lasse Aaltio (Fin) 1975 (Valkka Special)

I built a Blue Pants as a kid. Wish I still had it. Might even learn to fly it.

PerttiMe,
Thank you very much for posting these photos.
The International interpretation of how a stunt model is built, powered, shaped, painted and detailed has always been magic.

The Barone Rosso website is quite impressive, much like RC Universe, but I could not find any control line stuff.

I see people my age out there climbing mountains and zip lining and here I am feeling good about myself because I got my leg through my underwear without losing my balance

Ooops, the links I made didn't work like I thought they should.... Fixed now I hope.

Any Control Line stuff on Barone Rosso seems to be under Free flight and Old-timers ...  ^-^

... Claudia Kehnen's site had pretty good (big) pictures of Stilettos, Cobras, Noblers, Sharks etc, too, in case you want those. Looks like the search on flickr is pretty good if the photos have descriptions.

The International interpretation of how a stunt model is ...
That reminds me... A couple of smaller European designs from 1950s look pretty nice to me:

Henri Stouffs' 1954 Blue Pants (Belgium) and Wilfried Biesterfeld's Ultra Stunter (Germany).
The Blue Pants was a Svenson kit and seems to have some favor in Great Britain and Australia. The Ultra Stunter was kitted by Graupner and new kits seem to be available from a small German Shop. The Ultra Stunter was a part of a Series that also had larger designs: Champion and Panther, at least.

Some pics (the owners of the pics may well be members here)
