That's J.E. Albritton getting ready to fly his "Rusty" design! I flew against J.E. and his brother on many occasions back in the 1960s. He was a great stunt flier and I've been in contact with him some about starting to fly stunt again.

J.E. was on the 1980 United States World CL team as a Team Race pilot. He was part of the Perkins/Albritton team that placed third that year. The broke the record in an early heat and were the team to beat. They were fouled in the finals but did not receive a re-flight. One of the true injustices in the sport's history! They were by far the class of the field that year in TR.

Thanks Tom and Bob....
Thanks for the clarification....Be it a Falcon..a Rusty Dusty..or a "highly modified Nobler" this nice looking "Rusticonler" was still extremely well crafted and flown.
Great to hear that he is returning to modeling. H^^

Is that J.E. bother ? I never met his brother,It sort of looks like Wally Perkins . John Tate and I use to spend the week end at JE’s house once in a while in the early seventies and practice Team Race together.

Hi Willis:

Actually in the photo I think he's pictured with his father. He and his brother were both very good at Stunt, but J.E. was the one that stuck with modeling. After his CL days he went into RC Pylon racing and had some success on the eastern circuit. He now has a machine shop in Florida.

Later - Bob
