Magnum .36 and Staris
« on: September 30, 2011, 12:06:30 PM »
Randy,

I have a set of plans of your Staris design. I also have a Magnum .36 XLS. Is this enough engine (run in the side to rear pipe mode) for the Staris ?

In an earlier post someone asked about the Staris and the PA 40 UL and you suggested reducing the wingspan, cutting down the flaps and shortening the nose.

Is this the case for the Mag on the pipe or can it be done without mods ?

Hi Keith  No I would not  do that unless you are a hyper light builder, That is just not enough power for that plane.

The Mag 36 is better suited to the VECTOR , SV, Dreadnought or TEMPEST 40 series
