Tech Terror - Zombie version!

 Well, having spattered my "nice" Tech Terror just a week before needing it to fly at VSC, I have spent an amazing amount of time replacing the center section of the wing and the rest of the model.

The fuselage, at best, should be named Igor.  I vote this the Zombie Tech Terror!  Photos attached.

I am here in Tucson, and put in the first 3 flights on the ZTT.  Balance seems good. The tip weight may be a bit much, but I'll work on that later.  I am tuning the pushrod length and handle settings.  It should be close to trim tomorrow.  Unfortunately, this evening, something slid in the car and cracked the vertical tail. This is one hard-luck plane, it seems! Easily fixed as soon as I get some CA (available at the field, fortunately).

Tried one with this plane, and didn't like it!   :X :X :X

Oddly, the engine wouldn't run well with the wood tornado prop, but likes a nylon one.  Go figure!  HB~>  I am running 15% nitro, a Merlin glowbutton and 4 washers.  Excellent power despite the altitude and temperature.

This plane specializes in involuntary figure 9s!  This time the clips at the handle hung up!  HB~>

Fortunately I have a backup model to fly tomorrow, but still.... HB~> HB~> HB~>

Sheesz that bird got bad karma!  Cannot believe the run of bad luck you've had with it.   HB~>  :'(

Maybe you should rename this one DESIGNMAN's Terror!

Yup, 5 crashes, all due to equipment failures of some sort or other!   ~^  :X  HB~>

The wing is repaired, and now I need to fix the fuselage.  Should be ready to go by the weekend.
