replacement hemostats on bladder tanks
« on: March 12, 2015, 01:55:49 AM »
I've been looking at bladder tanks and the use of hemostats/clips has bothered me a little because I don't like to rush things around a 18,000 RPM prop.  Bill Bischoff has a great idea on his rat racers that may offer a solution to the problem of keeping the engine from flooding until you get it running. Take a look at this post:

Go down to the photos of his device.  It would work great with a very slight adaptation. What do you think?

I like the control horn idea.  But I made one up the opposite.  I have a hook holding it closed for start, then slip it free to release clamp on fuel to let it flow.  This control horn setup seems much easier than the hook setup I did.
