Progress in Closing Black Hawk Models
« on: May 17, 2015, 08:19:28 PM »
I thought that some of you might be interested in my progress in closing Black Hawk Models. One of my worries was what our employees would do when we close. I am happy to say that they have made other arrangements (no one goes hungry).
The next big thing is what do you do with mass amounts of Balsa, plywood, hardware, and wheels. We are building all of the kits that we can, as fast as we can. The laser cut kits first as I do not want to just throw away a lot of pre-cut parts. To answer a question that has been asked - We do not make partial kits, or sell just the laser cut parts. We keep the extra parts for 1 month after the last kit is sold as replacement parts.
As we run out of parts for kits, like canopies, decals and cowlings, we drop that kit from our inventory.
I had planned to finish up by next April, but as fast as the kits are going, it looks like the last day will be a lot sooner - some time this year.

Well, that is about all there is.
Larry
