Plastic Fantastic 24?
« on: March 07, 2020, 04:48:24 AM »
While searching for something else, I ran across several references for a "Plastic Fantastic 24" from Brodak.  No pictures came up with the references, and a search of Brodak using the Wayback Machine did not come up with an entry.  Does anyone have a picture of what these looked like?

The plastic fantastic it’s a flying wing with a cut foamwing and Coroplast rear surfaces it was designed to use a golden B or black widow for power and it was probably the most indestructible model ever flown.
Think S.M.A.L.L. y'all and, it's all good, CL, FF and RC!

Anyone got a plan or drawing? I have a stash of ACE foam wings that look like a good candidate for something like that.

Of course it's indestructible.  Nothing could kill something that butt-ugly...   ;D

Just kidding, I've built plenty of things uglier.

Very reminiscent of the Netzeband whatchamacallit. The whirl-it-around-your-head trainer, in  both shape and construction.

I know my PF24 did not die, but can not recall who got it. Anyone out there willing to own up? Seems I also had a fresh kit, but no longer do. Probably the best stunt trainer ever.

I took two total novices from zero to figure eights in an afternoon on soft grass where we could just put it back in the air immediately.

Sadly, neither of them ever decided to go farther, or, to my knowlege flew CL again.

Because of Larry’s past praise of this animal: I have a kit somewhere.  If / when I run across it I will see what I can do to share...

Now Paul, let's get real. You don't need no Spastic Fantastic! I seem to recall you flew a Lil' Satan on 26' lines behind a honking Black Widow--and you didn't put it into the dirt. Now, I'm not saying your eyes weren't as big as dinner plates......

Well, maybe it is a good idea if you are going to start doing them Man'oovers. I got a buck for every confirmed gopher you hit out at the gulch.
