New 1/2A design
« on: August 06, 2007, 07:28:04 PM »
Here's a project I've been working on for awhile...actually its first iteration was as a 1/4A .020-powered stunter; flew so well I decided to scale it up to a (large) 1/2A size, probably use one of my .061s in it.  A "non-flapped" profile stunter; simplicity personified.

30" wingspan, 205 sq. in. area, 22" long.  Weight as pictured (sans engine, etc.) 4 oz.  I'm thinking 7 to 8 oz. RTF. Not bad.

HMMMMMMmmmmm.........................................That tail is different.
It looks like a fun plane to build. And fly.

Thanks, Frank.  It may fly well with an .049 if the weight comes out right It will have adjustable LO guides (over/under of course); I'm debating about a tipweight box.

And, gotta have a good name.
