Now that's a nice collection. What's next? I think you're going to have to start going bigger Clancy. You've got the engine sizes covered down to the smallest. Now I'm looking forward to the GIANT BARNSTORMER-then  the MEGA BARNSTORMER. y1

Sorry Frank
The only engines I own bigger than a 35 is a OS 45 in a stunter, 2 each OS 46 DF's in an F-18 (Sport scale) and a ST 60 in a Cessna 152 (Profile scale).

Well, the OS 45 has not been flowen for a long time so it might be a candidate.

C'mon, you need one more, a really big 'un for that .60, to complete the set.  Very neat.

Someone told me the .010 nearly matches the .020 in power.  Is that right? In which case that micro oughtta be a bomb. Looks like fun.

Ran one of the new Cox .010 TD engines two times today for the first time.

Other fliers have commented on the 010 TD having almost as much power as a Pee Wee .020.  I think they may be right.

When I first ran my IBTW Barnstormer with a Cox Pee Wee 020 it ran 1 minute on 2.5 CC of 25 % fuel running rich.  The Cox 010 TD ran today for 2 minutes rich on 4 CC of the same fuel.  Ran it twice with the same fuel consumption.  Leaned out I can expect about 3 minute flights if the IBTW is a good reference.

Clancy, this is off topic, but do you happen to have a pic of that Cessna 152?

Just remembered that I took a picture of part of my U/Tronics Controlled fleet.

Pictured are a Cessna 152 with ST 60, a Dewoitine D-520 with ST 35 PDP, a SIG Skyray for Navy Carrier with Enya 40 and a Kingfisher for Navy Carrier with ST 35 PDP.

The two ST 35 PDP's were originally in my Scale P-38.

Clancy,

Do you have any sort of plans for the two 'teeny' Barnstormers?  I have a John .5cc and a .3cc which should make for really fun IBTW airplanes!   ....but I think you're right with the 25' lines and not the 15 footers mentioned earlier.....I'm too old to do 'spins'!  LOL!

Repost!!
Finally got to fly the Micro Barnstormer at out club meeting/flying last night.

It was the third tank of fuel in the engine so I did not lean it all the way out, but had enough power to fly level.  Used the 25 foot "Gorilla" lines and a handle with 1 1/2 inch spacing.  Felt good and should be a "fun to fly" model.   #^  Only tried climbs and dives but it was responsive but not over sensitive.

Jack Sheeks pitted for me last night, and today said it looked fine in the air and was "Cute".  I think he wants to fly it next time.  Jack said I could fly it at a contest in the space between the other circles.

Next flight I will try leaning the engine out more and then it should be ready for stunts.
Full tank is 3/8 oz (5 CC) of 25% fuel and gives about 4 minutes flying time.
