LiL jumpin bean
« on: November 17, 2012, 12:06:05 PM »
I am re building my old Lil Jumping Bean. I am looking for a set of decals that someone could scan and E-Mail me? Also in need of a canopy or about any 1/2 a profile one would work.  Thanks Rick

Rick,  You might try a cut down Akromaster canopy from Sig.  Also Brodak sells the Jumpin Bean decals.  Good luck.

Akro canopy will be too wide, maybe Brodak can help with one if their kit has one,

What is that "log" on the front of the engine?  It looks way huge for the Black Widow to be happy with it.
Think S.M.A.L.L. y'all and, it's all good, CL, FF and RC!

Well, I use 6-3 and 6-4 props on my Black Widows and Golden Bees for doing stunts.   I don't run them flat out either.

That is a 6x4 zinger. I had it laying around. Usually I'll run anything from a 5x3 to a 6x4 on my cox's. The hotter the motor I found the smaller the prop. On a bone stock baby bee I think they like the old 6x3 or 6x4 topflights. I'll start with a 6x3 on the BW and go down from there.

What a great day! 65 degres <5 mph winds not bad for December in the midwest. Had a club meeting today and re-maidened the bean after not being flown in probably 20 years. Did have to change the log  :) on the nose. I ended up with a tornado 5.25 x 3 which the Black Widow really liked. It flies fast 42' would work good. We ended up putting about 20 flights on 3-1/2A's. And put a kid that showed up on a handle for 2 flights. Grinning ear to ear. His dad said he'd be back.
