Now here is something you don't see much of.
1. Half A multi. Yes some twins but hardly any quads.
2. A Guillow's stick and tissue built and flown C/L
3. A half A multi with flight times in excess of five minutes.

That was awesome.

I'd just like to know how he got all those engines to run that long.

I think he could of pulled off an outside loop too. That definitely brings a smile to your face

Now THAT was a nice model! Apparently the engines had external tanks or supplemental tanks.

I would guess, since he had a starter handy, that he ran up each engine and adjusted it, topped off the tanks, then started them all for a flight.

Check the flyer's smile after he landed!

Hi George,

I noticed that he was fueling a nipple on the nacelle. My guess is that they are *production* style engines, firewall mounted, and separate tanks.

Thanks to a good friend, I finally got the Hobby Helper plans for the 1963 British NATS winner which was powered with 4 Babe Bees, had throttle control and retracts! It was published in the Aug. 1963 AM.
