HALF A FLAYER MAGAZINE
« on: January 09, 2011, 07:00:10 AM »
Half-A- Flyer Issue 1 is on the way.  All PDF's went out last night, hard copies go out tomorrow.  If you did not get your PDF Email me directly: larrytheredbaron@aol.com  and I will take care of that.  Some did not go through so we can fix that.  If you can not open the file e-mail me for a fix.
You can make copies for your friends, relatives, clubs or ... whoever.  They will want to subscribe too when they see the magazine.

Do you have a place where you could put Issue 1 available for download?

That might get more people to take a look at it.

... I am sure you could upload a PDF file the same way as the HTML, GIF and JPG files that you seem have there now. Then decide if you want a link to it on your site (where on it?) or if you just want to tell everybody the address to the file.

Posted in the Open section about the new "HALF A FLYER".  Only took a few minutes to print off a copy.  My grandson looked at the last page and I asked him which plane he liked.  It happened to be the same one I thought of getting for him.   H^^

Got mine, Unzipped and viewed without any problems, excellent 1st issue for someone like me who is only just becoming aware of what 1/2A is all about these will hopefully become a treasure trove of info as more issues arrive. I definitely think you have a winner...

Only other observation is could the pdf version come ARF or is it a  BOM thing. LL~ I used a pdf merge program to join all the individual pdfs in the zip together into a single document..

I'm sure it has already been mentioned elswhere but where/how do I send payement for future issues, is Paypal OK?

Thank You!

Yes Pay Pal is fine.  Send to Larrytheredbaron@aol.com  and when you do please send it "Personal" and "Money Owed" it is cheaper for both of us.

Thanks again oh What is a PDF merge Program???

I'd never heard of PDF merging, but I have never had the need for it either.

I put "PDF merge" into Google and found that those programs let you combine two or more pdf files into one. Maybe split one file into many too.

The Full version of Adobe Acrobat will do it (most computers have the free Adobe Reader for viewing PDF):
http://www.ehow.com/how_2111400_merge-pdf-files.html

there's also free ways to do it if you don't want to buy Acrobat:
http://www.mergepdf.net/
http://www.pdfmerge.com/
http://www.pdfsam.org/

I have not tried any of those, so cannot comment further if they are difficult to use, or cause any problems.

Yep, As Petttime says it is just a program to merge many pdf's into a single pdf document. I use http://www.anypdftools.com/pdf-merger.html I'm still running on the free trial version at the moment which sticks a "Watermark" page at the end of the pdf you create. Just in case others were not seeing the same as me I've attached a screen shot of what was inside the ZIP file. (I now have a single pdf as well containing all the individual pages).

I'll Paypal you the money for future issues in the next few days.

I believe that the editor prefers "Word" but you might check with him:  cdrk3@comcast.net

Wait until you see the next copy, I know some of the up coming articles and I am looking forward to getting it.  I gave 5 copies to non builders and after a week I checked back in with them and all but one had read all of the articles.  Does that mean that kids are that boarded today or that the magazine is that interesting?
