Good use for that FS bell crank
« on: June 01, 2014, 11:00:47 PM »
Many people pulled bell cranks out of the ARF Flite Streak and other less than optimal control systems. Here is a good way to reuse them without worry about failure.

Pics show a couple ManWing type trainers I built in hotel rooms, the blue one has a FS bell crank, the grey one a Carl ahold berg 1/2A unit. The aluminum FS unit with its greater adjustability, free moving center bushing is a smooth system. A tall elevator horn and short bell crank arm throw slow the controls down nicely for a beginner.
