F-82 Twin Mustang - test flight success
« on: July 26, 2007, 03:37:45 PM »
Today we went out to our local foootie pitch and  made the first attempt at getting Currell Patties new twin Mustang in the air.

No problemoooo - just fired up the two Foxes and Currell flew his new plane.

Great sound.  We didn't get a timing but its seems about 10-15 MPH faster than anything we've seem in the loggers to date.

This 2-engine stuff wasn't so hard after all.

Maybe Tucson isn't so far away.

Paul;
    I have plans for a 1/2A B17 the fuselage is profile, but I think it has a biult up wing. You would have to make the wing solid for Tucsan.

The way I read it, you can have a built up wing if you want.  They just have a special "added event" for all-sheet jobs.

'Cording to the posted rules, they don't give anything extra for more than two engines, so a B-17 would be self-abuse for nothing, unless maybe you built it with two enginesa nd to pinwheels.   Or maybe you could build a 4-engine one, and hope to get at least two running, thereby complying with the 2-engine rule.
