On September 26th the St. Louis Broken Arrow contest included the Half-A Twin Engine Profile Scale Event. It was sponsored by Tim Pansic with cash prizes and incentives to enter. I believe there were six entries. I was involved with the stunt events so I missed out on the actual flying of the twins. I saw from afar the Pond Racer and the yellow biplane fly. I hope the pictures come through. The planes were outstanding! The Pond Racer was done by Bob Whitney of Florida. The Dornier by John Rist of Alabama.

Very nice, all of them. My favourite is the yellow DeHavilland Dragonfly as it has always been a favourite.

I never did get in my offical flight but I had a ton of FUN. Thanks for posting great pictures. The yellow DeHavilland Dragonfly did win first place and it was a work of art. My Dornier DO 335 flies well. It was the piolt (me) that stinks. If St. Louis Broken Arrow has the 1/2 A twin next year I will be back. Next time I will get in an offical flight.

PS the cash prizes were nice but not necessary. Flying is like fishing. It's cheaper to buy fish then to catch them.

Hi Folks,
This looks like an interesting event. Are there any other rules besides the use of two 1/2A engines? What are the flight requirements and how are the flights scored?
