Baby Clown

Here is a picture(I hope) of my Brodak Baby Clown. I have modified the front end to take a beam mounted Brodak 049.

Its the accelerator I use for the extra thick CA. Sets the CA up quick and hard.

we've got some ARF Baby Clowns around here ......They fly darn good.

I thought that white stuff was accelerator but didn't want to look stupid just in case it was something else.

I have the ARF as well. I didn't like the engine mounting so I changed the front end. Lots of fun to build as well. I'm not sure what kind of landing gear to put on it yet but I may just leave them off. Any ideas?

It'd be pretty simple to slip a "u"-shaped wire through the wing opening in the fuselage and bolt through the fuselage using landing-gear straps on both sides; or do a 1-wheel gear a la Flitestreak; or if you fly with a good hand-launcher just do without, especially if you're flying over thick grass--makes the landings less hazardous. Personally, I like landing-gear on everything except combat planes.

Vincent. Thanks No I haven't finished it yet. Its been really cold here(-37) and I've been really lazy. It should be done when the snows gone. Maybe May..
