Finished the 1/2A Pathfinder kit

AP 061 motor, not yet flown, needed 1 ounce of lead in nose to balance

now weighs 15 1/2 ounces.

Regards to all

Very pretty!  What is the finish?  What lines and prop do you intend to use?

I have now run 3 AP Wasps, and find that to extract power, you need to let them rev - at least 19K on the ground.  The APS 6x2 and 5.7x3 seem to be the best available props.  If you need still more speed, a Master Airscrew 5.5x4 cut to 5" should work.  A C*x 6x3 proved too much load for mine, dragging the r's down to 14,9K, a number worse than I would expect from a Black Widow.  With a Tornado 5x3, the r's went over 23K, and the air blast was stirring up grass 30 ft away.  Big difference.

Think S.M.A.L.L. y'all and, it's all good, CL, FF and RC!

Now that's just a pretty plane, no matter how you look at it.  Let us know how it flies.

Thanks for the compliments friends,

I have APC 5.7 x 3 and 6 x 3 and Master 6 x 3

Starting with 38' lines

The finish is mostly Solarfilm with small amount of paint
around the engine & tank area

will post  more next month , when flown , hopefully still
in one piece!!
