There's also the library that Al put out that has lots of great info, with "Book 2" particularly having around 300 pages dedicated to the Mustunt IV.

Been trying to read this hear and there.  Really neat stuff.  The more I read the more I think I may have these on CD.  Got to remember where however.

I did get the plans for the 4 downloaded and printed out.  3 I actually found by accident on Ebay of all places.  It was actually cheaper there to get the plans then to download it and print it out here locally.  Plus it comes with the article.

Still searching for a canopy but also thought of a Spitfire canopy would probably also work.  Something to check into.  I could try and make my own.  Never have but I guess there is a first time for every thing.

All of the above has been collected from the interwebs over the past several years. I own none of it; all credit to original publisher(s) and of course, to Al!

You’re in town?  You should stop by. You should stop by Steve’s, too, but his house is hard to find, even with a GPS.

I thought about it but it was just a quick overnight stop.
We brought the Florida sun this past Tuesday- your welcome!🤣🤣

Event's / Re: Central New York Fun fly
« Last post by AMV on Yesterday at 10:35:18 AM »
I plan to set up "In-Stunt" video tracing at this meet.
This means that the tracing will be done in real-time during every recorded flight so that the speck taters can poke fun at constructively criticize the pilot's skills.
It also means that the pilot can review his or her flight immediately after landing.

It will help all of us to finesse our flying skills ahead of Brodak's and the Nats.
If you're reading this and are within reasonable distance of Syracuse, NY, consider coming to the meet for a day of fun.

Cheers, H^^

Engine set up tips / Re: Engine seemingly going richer throughout flight?
« Last post by Dan McEntee on Yesterday at 09:56:39 AM »
OK. So your uniflow line is fixed inside of a metal tank? I am looking for a 4-4-4 or 4-2-4 stunt run with mostly 46la’s and Brodak 40’s and am just learning. With my set up I do get 10-12 lean laps at the end after the pattern is complete. My fixed uniflow line is bent to angle to the outboard wall of the tank and i have had some luck twisting it to move the end up or down to get even runs right side up and upside down. The method you described, sounds better and simpler, but I would have to start making tanks

Try shimming the back end of your tank out about 1/8" if it's a profile, or as much as you can if it's a full bodied model. If you have your airplane flying in any kind of yaw to the outside of the circle, and the tank is flat against the fuselage, as the fuel load runs down at the end, centrifugal force will make fuel run forward and away from the pick up and it will tease you lean like that. Plastic or metal tank. If the fuselage is skewed out, then the tank will be also and the front will be further out than the back. The fuel load will go where it is pushed by CF.

   Type at you later,
   Dan McEntee

Yes,  I don't know another way.  I know there are a few commercial tanks (thinking Brodak) that claim to be uniflow,  and maybe are to a point, but I have no idea what is going on inside.  In any event they wouldn't be doing what I'm after so get a good soldering iron/pencil (not gun),  some copper tubing and tin stock.  After you make a few it only takes a couple hours to make exactly the tank you want.  Maybe our buddy Sparky can rig you up a carbon tank with my plumbing (hint, wink, nod !)

Hello everybody,

With some help from Niklas Löfroth and with his permission to use the videos he recorded at the contest, I hereby present the same videos with motion traces and Augmented-Reality geometry including the Nominal Figures of each maneuver per FAI F2B Rules.  The videos were traced using a pre-release version of VideoF2B software, originally conceived and implemented by Alberto Solera in 2018, as announced here on StuntHangar.  I took great interest in the project, and have been actively developing this software into a user-friendly product since 2020.  Version 0.6 will be officially released very soon.  Watch this other thread for those news.

In the meanwhile, enjoy the results of our collaboration on a global scale!
The videos include flights from the top 15 F2B pilots in the world in 2022.  There will be a total of 45 videos.

I have posted Round 1 of the Finals so far -- 15 flights.  More will appear in the same playlist in the near future as time allows me to process them, one round at a time.
The scores from the contest are publicly available here.  Note that I am presenting the flights in the order they were flown, according to the F2B Fly-off Schedule.

With no more ado, here is the VIDEO PLAYLIST.

I'll be happy to entertain any questions about the video tracing process and the software in this thread or in PM/email.

Cheers, H^^

WOW! That is incredible! Those looked like some pretty poor flights for world champs.

And "NO" I couldn't do half that good......................or bad.
