PT-19 replacement!

I have a thread on the new club electric C/L trainer in the main forum. I put it there because I thought it would be of general interest. It could fly nicely with a 1/2A size engine...hint, hint.

Check out the latest info on this in the main forum. 3 "production" models completed and ready to fly at the Compton fly-in on Sunday. We will see how durable the design is then!

Actually, this is the second crash that the reporter did. See it live on TV!

The model survived except for the ply motor mount and I have plans on how to make that a lot more durable. Good footage, anyway. I have a plan on how to beef up the mount and make it also a break-away. More news at 11 (someday or other)

First day of kid training with this design was yesterday at Compton Airport. We got through the day using only one of the 4 models available. No damage despite frequent bounces. A little paint touch-up on the nose is all that will be needed. Plus it flies fine in wind that would ground the PT-19!
