Prather Pitch Gauge (Reversed)

Here's a easier way to do the pitch gauge. I've taken off the plate scanned it, reversed the image
Sprayed 3M on the paper stuck it to the backside, trimmed excess paper then fitted gauge plate
in the other direction. Warning:The pivot screw is a 5-40 tap. Did not know that when I had my first one  
The other screws are 4-40. Drill & tap the 4-40s in a new spot cause you will need to countersink them.
If everything is lined up right the pointer should line up perfect as shown in the pic below. If not U can always
take it off print another one & try again. Here's the scan if lined up it should fit perfect. And don't forget to
cover the paper with clear tape afterwards.

That is pretty clever, but I would just pitch the prop while looking in a mirror.  Wait, you'd need to look at the prop in the mirror, but the pitch gauge not in the mirror, or conversely.

John here, we flew at El Dorado together.  A quick hi before going into the main post

Anyway, I'm the one who re-did the Hootee in the link posted above.  Hope someone has found a use for it.  I still use the proto from time to time and it works perfect.  I did draw the Pranther but I don't think I ever posted it.  I could reverse it pretty easy and make a pdf if anyone is interested.  

By the way, I posted the Hooteetoo on this site as well.   Search my posts and one could find.
