Single channel use

(1/1)

Vincent Corwell:
Can you show a complete set up please for
a single channel, say for throttle control

servo , battery , controller unit
at the handle end , battery? controller

Is it viable to use only one insulated line and one standard line?

Is there a link to your web site please ?

Thank you

Vincent

Check your Email.  I sent you a copy of the Single Channel U/Tronics Instruction sheet.  Hope that answers your questions.

The use of one insulated and one uninsulated line would work, but I would worry about the different air drag because of the different outside diameters.

Please note that the street address on the above drawing has changed.

I recall a post here from someone who had just that problem -- one thin line and one thick line, and an elevator that responded in a consistent (and unfortunate!) manner to changes in line tension.

John Rist:
DO NOT USE ONE INSULATED LINE - unless perhaps you are coating your own lines with polyurethane. Even in that case I would coat both.  See post

I lost my Eindecker due to one insulated line.  When I slowed down and line tension got low the drag on the insulated up line drove the Eindecker up and over the top - BIG SPLAT!
