VECO CHIEF II Classic Legal/N-30 Legal
Tom Dixon announces the availability of a modernized version of the classic VECO Chief, designed by Joe Wagner. This kit keeps all of the original dimensions but has simplified, stronger construction, aluminum landing gear, and room for 4 1/2 ounces of fuel. Wood sizes are upgraded for strength and better balance with a modern .40 size engine. A copy of Wagner’s own plan for his two versions is included, along with the revised plan. All contest balsa is cut to shape.
The Chief has a constant chord wing so it can be built on a flat surface without a jig being necessary. (This is a balsa wing, not a foam wing, though we do have a foam wing available too.)
