Post by: Matt Colan on April 07, 2009, 03:44:52 PM
How does a board to discuss trimming ideas and problems sound?

Thats exactly what I do Matt....when I have a real problem trimming, I whack the plane with a board!  Works every time! LL~ H^^  And yes....I think your suggestion has merrit.  It would put all the trim discussions in one place.

Gravitywell

Is that a 2x4 or a 1x4 you use???

Or do you have to select the board size for amount of adjustment needed to correct the problem???

You can remove a warp from a wing by hanging a pipe wrench from it.  If warp remains, get a bigger pipe wrench.

LOL,

Clancy

But seriously folks, Matt has a point.  Positive suggestion:  Combine the building forum with the painting and finishing forum...they go together anyway, I don't see a conflict.  Use the freed up space for the trim forum.  y1

To many boards on here already. Some of these could easily be combined.

Sometimes, there are finshing threads in the building forum, and building threads in the finishing forum.  Like the saying you have sparky, "The finish starts with the first piece of wood cut", they go hand in hand

I'm for it. And I think Sparkster would go for it, IF he had a volunteer moderator.

To get the Judging Clinic Forum going, I just suggested it to Robert in a PM, and suggested a couple of guys who'd be good Moderators. But I also said that if they were too busy, then I'd do it. Then something smacked me upside the head and I was tagged "IT".  n~ Steve
