Hi.
Since last week or so I'm no longer able to put pictures to my posts. It just says "cannot post this kind of pictures" or something like that. It's not about pictures being too big.
Has something in SH been changed or is it because of the recent software update of my IPad..?
I would not like to learn new tricks.

Hey Lauri:
Can you describe the process you go through to try to post a picture? Do you go through the "attach" button? Does your iPad show the file extension (i.e., do you see "mypicture" or "mypicture.jpg")?
I suspect that they've just "improved" things, and now you or Robert needs to work around that "improvement".

Nothing has changed here. It would help to have a exact quote of the issue.

Jpeg does not work.

Testing.

This it what happens.

Hi Lauri,
Have you tried to change the file extension to "jpg"?

Hejsan.
I have no idea, how would I do that?
Another annoying thing here is, that if I, by accident, add a too big image to my message, there is no way to remove it. I have to write everything again. Or is there?

Apple knows that you shouldn't play with file extensions... There's probably an app that can do it. Getting the pics on a Windows computer might be a fast way to get the extensions changed.

Robert, if you're monitoring this thread -- the problem is that the phone wants to use "jpeg" as an extension instead of "jpg". In a way this is almost sorta-kinda more legitimate (ditto with mpeg/mpg). So if it's an easy change to make it would be kind to iPad users everywhere to make it.

jpeg added as approved file extension.

Thanks Robert. This is why you earn the big bucks.
(Do I need to put a smiley on that? Nah.)

Thank you, Robert.
