     Have you used the remedy that you have suggested to me? If so, did it work and was it free? Do you know anybody who has used it?

    The reason that I am a bit paranoid is that I clicked on one of those popups that said  that your computer may be at risk  Click here for a free download.  I clicked for the free download and got into a bloody stickey wicket.  Yes, the download was free but it locked my computer on that popup and they wanted $280.00 dopllars to enable me to use my computer again. I was told that they embedded a virus in my startup program that would render my computer inactive until I paid the $280.00.  I investigated this as being a form of extorsion and was told that it was a leagal form of adverising???  Oh yes, the scum suggested that I could make four easy payments of $80.00 if I could not afford the full $280.00 cost.  

    In any case, I had to have my computer programmed with a new system $$$$$$$$$$$$$$  This is why I am nervous about clicking on any free offer!

Go here http://free.avg.com/us-en/homepage and download free software and run it. It will find this issue and delete it.
