Hi, I am refinishing an Ares stunt plane. It should weight in the low 40 ounce range with a 35 when finished. I know the original had a fox 35. I would like to use an Os 35. I have been told to use a Os 40 for power. I am afraid that it will come out nose heavy with the Os 40 and have to put weight in the tail to balance it. Will my choice of an OS 35 give me enough power and be the best choice for this plane?
Thanks Bob

I ran both in the 60's and 70's. My choice would be the OS35 on a 10-6 EW.

Consider an Aerotiger 36. It's power will more than compensate for the added weight IMHO

Brodak .40 is The Fox substitute.

Robert: My Argus is similar in design to the Ares.
It weighs 42 ounces and flies perfectly with a Max 35S.
3 1/2 ounces of fuel does the trick.

Jim Hoffman’s suggestion is right on.
I recently converted my Argus to an Aerotiger 36 and it’s great.
I didn’t even add any tail weight.
