Heres the TECNIQUE . ( of course , with the Cortina / Corsair , youd have the power on , turning in , on gravell . Tarmacs a bit trickier . )

im sure any inteligant bloke can see the comparison in dynamics , in SSq. & Tri. turns , in / to Aerobatics . as its Akrobaticsin cars .
And akrobatics in AIR .
Did I mention the ' stall turn ' for Combat .  ;D  S?P  n1

SO , the RUDDER is the ' gyro stabiliser ' as it were . rather than the bloke in the cockpit . Crossed Controls and all that . Automatically . eliminate yaw & roll  . Bravo .

One thing for sure.  If you let the tape get too old and brittle it will really slow down your turn rate!  I took my oldest surviving Desperado ( the one on the cover of Stunt News 2017) out of retirement to fly the last couple contests this season.  Last I flew it a couple years ago it seemed so hard to get to turn -after qualifying twice at the Nats-that I added an ounce in the tail and it still struggled to turn corners.  When I got it down this time the controls would only travel about half normal distance.  The hinge tape got pulled off and the controls work freely and smooth again.  I'm not even sure I used the tape for this bird's Nats days.  It will finish the season without the tape.....If you use hinge tape change it annually!

I used Scotch Multitask tape to seal my flaps many years ago, and they are still limber. This is on electric planes. Looks like that tape is extinct, boo hoo.

I used the Krystal Klear tape that Bob Whitely suggested.  It was good stuff but also extinct.  Interestly I found something almost identical at the Dollar store real cheap....Maybe it was Olie's.  I bought six or seven rolls but have only a couple left.  I don't think it was a regular stock  item but worth a check.
