The Werwage Junar construction article was in Flying Models January 1991.  It was also featured on the cover of that issue.

Not to be confused with the Werwage Juno construction article in Flying Models, January 1980, also featured on the cover of that issue.

Thanks for posting that cover, Matt! I took that photo on the lawn in front of the Carstens Publications building. The car is just one of the several Morgans that Hal Carstens owned. He just loved to get them on the covers of his magazines! We shot another cover with his green 2 + 2 Morgan in that same time frame.

Here's an interesting note: The model that the cover girl (sad to say I forgot her name...) is holding was not a good flying model. It would not lock after a corner and had many weird traits. Eventually Billy traced the problem to a slightly mis-shaped leading edge. He cut that one off and replaced it with a new one on both wings and carefully shaped it. From that point on that ship flew great! That experience led us to eventually go to foam cores with fully rounded, wire cut leading edges. We also did the leading edge mold bucks for built-up wings in that manner to ensure an accurate leading edge radius. Haven't had that problem since we did that.

Would anyone be able to scan the build article and email it to me or post it on here? I've got the plans and some ribs at home.
