I am building a Kanatta short kit 576. The leading edge is 2 pieces of 1/8th balsa laminated. It is challenging to sand all the flat area out while rounding it off. Going to look like a baseball bat! Very blunt! This is my 5th build after returning from a 50 year break. This is the thickest wing i have ever built. Just checking with the pro's out there before I go too far. It's built according to the plans. Thanks in advance!

Stay with the blunt leading edge. D>K

It will round off, and the blunt leading edge offers the best turn when flying. If you are still hesitant, glue on one more piece, then make yourself an accurate template of the airfoil leading edge radius, then start carving and sanding. If you need the extra wood, you'll have it. If not, it will just end up on the floor!!
Type at you later,
