I had just got my new camara and was playing with the settings to get good shots, Have a few of Mike Haverlys JD Falcon as well,, I will see what i can find later.

Shultzie,

The model is my own design, The Slider. Second in the series (the first proved conclusively that an 85oz, foam winged, 625 sq. inch model won't fly very well even if it does have a V8 up front). This second version is a much more reasonable 54 ounces with an OS40VF up front. Flies pretty well, actually. The third iteration is in frame right now awaiting better weather to do the final sanding and start the finish. It should be close to 50oz and slightly bigger at about 635 square inches and will sport a RO-Jett 65 for juice.

SOUNDS GREAT...WOW! just imagine...at 50oz...what a RO-JETTSKI 65 up front can do-daaaa-day?
That design punches my stunt-button-britches.
Do you have a favorite SLIDEROOO' PHOTO?

That SLIDER's Profile rules...but that DANGEROUS has a beautiful and attractive paint scheme. Both models are OUTSTANDING examples of what I really love in a CLPA model.
Nice rib built up elevators are a really nice touch.
Thanks Randy....I found another one of your models...that USA-1 is also a beauty.

Yeah so what, I have been practicing, um,, well, ok so we got another 3 inchs of snow last night so my practice is theBob Smiley school of stunt, I fly virtual patterns..... and , well, if they beat me I will just load up a couple bombs on the bf 109 stunter and bomb the pits so they cant get in their second flights!
Serious, no fair coaching them,, I cant even fly yet! sheesh,, well I guess we will see , I am looking forward to seeing everybody in Portland in April,, Hopefully I will get in a couple flights before then anyway.
the weather liers say we are going to have snow all week here so Not sure how I will,
You really should be painting instead of stirring up trouble dont you think Leo,, ?
I will get Shultzie to come fly a kite over your circle or something drastic if you dont behave mw~ mw~ LL~ LL~ LL~ LL~ LL~ LL~ LL~

Randy you are an artist in the supreme word.  I can see the USA-1 influence in your designs or is it the other way around.  Do love your color schemes.

Now Mark you shouldn't be picking on your elders up there.  They just may gang up on you and hide your lines.  Later,  DOC Holliday

Ha! OK! This just in.....I have my very own tarmac flying circle to maintain...plus rebuilding this money pit house of mine.
(Flying circle is a bit too small and the large maple tree in the front yard is kinda blocking one side of the circle.)

perhaps not for models such as these?

AND THEN...BUY AN EXPENSIVE BOX PICTURE FRAME AND HANG IT OVER MY FIREPLACE IN THE LIVING ROOM!.....but then again....my beloved care giver...CEO...CFO...MISSEEEMAAASA...knowing that she is the misseeemasssa decorator..and I am the unworthie decorator, just might have issues.

Don and Doc,

I plan on eventually doing a transparent finish. I'm afraid this plane doesn't have the cleaned up structure for that. Lots of rough cut (on a bandsaw) spars and such. If I do a transparent finish, I would want to sand all the spars and ribs so they are pretty before covering. I may get to it eventually. I'd probably cover with silk then shoot on clear and then tinted dope. Unless I could convince myself to do it another way.
